Blending functionality and aesthetics for Europe’s largest sporting brand
Adidas wanted to move away from the corporate feel of their previous London office, unite multiple design teams under the same roof to create ‘one Adidas’ – and reflect their people, culture and building in the space. The openness with which Adidas approached the project allowed the architectural design team to really push the boundaries of traditional workplace design. Located in Herbal House, a former printworks factory, the new offices celebrate the building’s industrial past, so heritage colours and brass features were used to reflect the character of the space, whilst evoking Adidas’s brand DNA.
The new workspace features open plan areas, meeting rooms with different personalities, semi-open collaboration spaces, and a standout tea-point. Their new workplace also features an entertainment and influencer room, a trend room, and a showroom; allowing Adidas to track the latest trends and host a range of events all under the same roof. As a brand, Adidas have always been focussed on sustainability. The tea-point is clad in 5,000 recycled, melted down yoghurt pots. A range of NORR11 furniture takes centre stage in various settings in the office space, bursting with colour, sporty vibrance and rustic charm. The products featured include Elephant Dining Chair, Elephant Lounge Chair, Mammoth Chair, Langue Bar Chair, Nomad Chair, and Line Two Pendant.
